The White Horse nestles in the hamlet of Woolley Moor on the outskirts of Ashover, Derbyshire, and as you would expect from a Derbyshire country inn, we offer stunning surrounding scenery with a warm and friendly atmosphere. We also pride ourselves on great food on our menu and a well stocked bar.   Unlike other country pubs and inns throughout the Peak District, we are unique in being able to provide our guests with affordable modern luxury accommodation.

All of our rooms come with en suite facilities and have secluded balconies that supply exceptional vistas across a lush green valley.

We have a great chef in Craig Peters who makes the most of all the fabulous produce that the local area has to offer. Where possible we always look to source locally from the Peak District and Derbyshire making the most of seasonal fruit and vegetables as well as locally reared meat and locally produced dairy.

We follow the seasons closely to allow us to offer food that is fresh and appropriate to the time of year providing full flavours that will satisfy the heartiest appetite. In addition to our normal menus, we also offer a specials board that changes on a regular basis and offers an additional selection of starters, main courses and desserts, so it is always worth checking to see else we can offer you – you will not be disappointed!

Food Served: Tuesday to Saturday from 12.00 to 13.45 and 18.00 – 20.45. Also Sunday: 12.00 – 16.00.

White Horse suites are unique within the Derbyshire Peak District and definitely not what you would expect at a traditional country inn. Our accommodation is built around providing totally modern luxury for our guests at affordable prices. We offer 5 star suites are furnished to the highest standard with super king-size, king-size and twin Hypnos beds – acclaimed as the world’s most comfortable, in our rooms, all of which are fully en suite. With disabled facilities available too, we like to think we cater to all needs and requirements.
