/images/hathersagesaferneighbourhood.jpg Letters have been delivered to the parents of youngsters regarding behaviour in Hathersage and Eyam. We continue to visit local schools and youth clubs to engage with youngsters and promote positive activities for them, including Ozbox.

We asked: What are the priorities in your neighbourhood?
You said: Nuisance motorists and anti-social behaviour at Oddfellows Road, Hathersage.
We did: Increased patrols to the car park and the footpaths leading to it, to speak to and advise drivers about their behaviour. Temporary CCTV cameras have also been used to monitor the situation. We have set up Acceptable Behaviour Contracts with key individuals, which mean they sign a contract where they agree to take responsibility for their actions and improve their behaviour.

You said:
Speeding vehicles on Sheffield Road, Hathersage.
We did: Monitored the speed of traffic with the hand held speed radar device, stopping motorists and advising and if necessary. Drivers who have been travelling over 30mph have been given a fixed penalty notice. Roads policing officers have also assisted in enforcing this restriction and raising the awareness of the speed limit.

You said:
Speeding vehicles through Bradwell, especially at Townend and Batham Gate.
We did: Monitored the speed of traffic with the hand held speed radar device, and asked for assistance from roads policing officers to raise awareness, stop motorists and give advice where necessary. Fixed penalty notices have been issued to those travelling over the 30mph speed limit.
