Honley village is situated near to Holmfirth and Hudderefield and is a large village in West Yorkshire. It is on the banks of the River Holme in the Holme Valley.
The parish church of St Marys, a mostly Victorian Church was constructed in 1873 on the remains of the earlier church known as The Peg. Honley Railway Station opened on July 1 1850
