Erwood Sailing Club

Errwood Sailing Club is an RYA Training Centre and offers various sailing and powerboat training courses throughout the year. We are keen to share the beautiful surroundings of our sailing club with new members, please get in touch if you are interested in joining.

The club is in an area of outstanding natural beauty in the Peak District National Park, located in the Goyt Valley between Buxton (Derbyshire) and Macclesfield (Cheshire) (SK17 6GJ).

The Clubhouse (Refurbished in 2016) offers heated changing rooms with showers and toilets, upstairs you can find our modern training room and galley for snacks and light refreshments with a spectacular panoramic view over the whole 80 acre reservoir and National Park. Outside there are picnic benches in front of the club house for the warmer days in the Summer. There are three slipways, a pontoon, a large dinghy park, car park and race hut.

We usually sail on Saturday 9am till 1pm, Sundays from 11am, and in the summer, Wednesday nights also, although this can vary. To be certain and to see who else will be coming we communicate via our WhatsApp group or the online members forum on the website. Leave a message to tell us your plans, so long as you have someone qualified to manage the safety boat, sailing can take place any time during the day.
