The High Peak

The High Peak is the glorious part of the Peak District which often sources with the extremes of the weather.

Famous for the High Peak Trail, which runs from High Peak junction near Cromford, to Downlow, 6 miles south of Buxton, 17 1/2 miles can be enjoyed either on foot or by bike.

The High Peak and Tissington trails was formerly the Cromford and high peak in Ashbourne to Buxton railway lines.

Most of the borough is part of the county of Derbyshire.
