Upper Hackney is located to the north west of Matlock and seperated by the A6 road from the River Derwent and the Peak Rail railway line. There is a Methodist chapel in the village and it is home to Darley Dale primary school. It is a good route to the beautiful villages of Bakewell and Matlock.
