Uttoxeter

Uttoxeter is a town famous for its market in Staffordshire and is close to the River Dove in East Staffordshire near the cities of Stoke-on-Trent, Derby and Lichfield. Its name has had 79 spellings since it was mentioned in the Domesday book and it saw the last major royalist surrender of the English Civil War.

The town’s proximity to Alton Towers theme park resort and close to the Peak District National Park means tourism is a very important part of the local economy with lots of holiday accommodation available.
