Whaley Bridge

Whaley Bridge is the gateway to the Goyt Valley and is an attractive small town situated on the edge of the Peak District. It is at the head of the Peak Forest Canal with the canal basin designated as a conservation area. The towpath from the canal basin allows pleasant walks and cycles to Bridge mount and Buxworth with or can be the starting point for longer distance routes such as the Goyt and Midshires way.
