The picturesque village of Wincle straddles the River Dane which separates Cheshire from Staffordshire.
Wincle is a favoured spot for walkers, due to it’s spectacular surrounding scenery.
The settlement in 1291 was known as ‘Wynkehull’ or ‘Wineca’s Hill’.
There is also a brewery at Wincle.
